OCC Magnetic Fields Lip Tar Collection Review & Swatches
Calling all fellow Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics fanatics – OCC recently released their spring/summer 2016 Magnetic Fields Lip Tar collection, and the colors are SO frickin’ purdy!
If you’re familiar with Lip Tar, you know that their formula is hella pigmented (seriously, you only need to use the teeniest amount of product for opaque, full coverage), lightweight (extremely comfortable) with a matte finish that lasts for hours. They’re also made with skin-lovin’ hemp oil and vitamin E and zero silicones or synthetic preservatives/parabens (props to Peppermint Oil, a natural antibacterial and antimicrobial alternative).
My only slight gripe in the past was that their squeeze tube packaging with accompanying lip brush wasn’t mega convenient or travel-friendly (btw, some of their old packaged lippies are on sale for $4 on their website!!). Well… late last year, OCC has finally made their lippes ready-to-wear – YASSSSSSS! They now come in traditional plastic lip gloss tubes with doe-foot applicators.
OK, now let’s talk about the new colors they just rolled out! Magnetic Fields introduces never-before-seen psychedelic tones, along with more classic floral shades. Gah, we’re talkin’ total eye candy!
Magnetic Fields Lip Tar collection
- Lily – true lavender
- Wasabi – opaque bright chartreuse
- Artifact – bronze with metallic copper pearl
- Rime – pale turquoise with gold shimmer
- Magnolia – warm blush pink
- Indrid – opalescent grey with pink duochrome
Price: $16 each
Tip: I highly recommend using a lip pencil to prevent any color bleed. OCC has matching lip pencils for most of their shades.
Which Lip Tar shade is your fave?
